Workshop Description
Welcome to the Enterprise VDI Implementation Workshop designed specifically for a healthcare company. This three-week bootcamp is tailored for IT professionals seeking hands-on experience in deploying and managing a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) using Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
Client Background
Mestafil Healthcare, headquartered in Los Angeles, California, is a national healthcare provider with a network of affiliate hospitals and doctor’s offices across North America. Mestafil's rapid growth through acquisition necessitates a secure and scalable VDI solution to manage personal identifiable information (PII) for their employees.
Currently, Mestafil operates 250 workstations supporting business applications for non-clinical users in the Developer, Finance, and Knowledge departments. Their existing data centers in California and Northern Virginia utilize VMware for the server control plane and a partial deployment of Citrix virtual desktop infrastructure. These locations are interconnected via a private WAN and a backup VPN over broadband.
Workshop Objectives
Our Azure Infrastructure Project Bootcamp is designed for IT professionals looking to expand their expertise and gain hands-on experience in deploying Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) in a typical Enterprise model. By the end of this bootcamp, participants will have implemented a secure and robust AVD infrastructure, equipped with the skills and knowledge to manage and optimize it.
